How Private Transfers Istanbul collects, uses and protects your personal data.
This Privacy Policy explains how Private Transfers Istanbul processes your personal data. We act as the data controller for the information you provide when you book or enquire about a transfer.
Data We Collect
To provide our airport transfer service we collect only the data we need. This typically includes:
- Your full name and the names of other passengers in your party.
- Contact details such as email address and phone or WhatsApp number.
- Trip details such as flight number, date and time, pickup and drop off addresses, number of passengers and luggage.
- Special requests such as child seat requirements.
- Payment confirmation details. Because no card payment is taken through the website, card numbers are never transmitted to us or stored by us at any stage.
Purpose of Processing
We use your data to confirm and manage your reservation, to assign a driver and vehicle, to track your flight, to contact you about your transfer, to issue invoices and receipts, and to respond to your enquiries and support requests.
Legal Basis
We process your data on the basis of the performance of the service contract between you and us, our legitimate interest in operating and improving our service, your consent where applicable (for example marketing messages), and our legal obligations under Turkish law and applicable accounting and tax rules.
Data Retention
We keep booking and contact data only as long as necessary to provide the service and to meet legal, accounting and tax obligations. Financial records are retained for the periods required by Turkish law. After these periods data is securely deleted or anonymised.
Data Sharing
We share data only with parties needed to deliver your transfer, such as the assigned driver, and with service providers such as IT providers acting under contract. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR and the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) you have the right to access your data, to request correction or deletion, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
